Commander’s Message
Commander Craig Hanson
Hello! My name is Craig Hanson and I will be proudly serving as your District 13 Commander for the 2016-2017 Service Year.
I did not serve in the Armed Forces, but I serve in our organization and our communities out of respect for all of our veterans and our men and women currently serving our Nation in the U.S. Armed Forces today. I also serve in honor of my father, Marvin “Bud” Hanson – Corpsman, US Navy, Korea.
One way that I serve is to volunteer in helping raise money and awareness for all of our great programs of the Sons of the American Legion and the American Legion Family. Last year the Sons of the American Detachment of Florida raised more than 1.2 MILLION dollars for our Veteran’s and Children’s Charities – that is some GREAT TEAMWORK!
So get your team together and get out there and help YOUR Sons of the American Legion Squadron and District have another fantastic year helping those who served!
