National Preparedness

The Sons of The American Legion, Detachment of Florida is again partnering with the US Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency as a coalition member to promote Preparedness. Throughout the Year we will be posting information to help you get better prepared for the various types of disaster that can affect us.

National Preparedness Month is in September, but do not wait until September to get prepared. Watch this page and our Facebook page for important messages and information on how to get prepared. We need your help to get the word out to all of our Posts, Units and Squadrons – so DON’T WAIT. COMMUNICATE. Make your emergency plan today. Please take a look to see what your Squadrons, Posts and Units can do to promote a Culture of Preparedness.

Let us know if you will be hosting an event so we can promote it on our Detachment Event Calendar on the website and the Detachment Facebook page.
